I am directed by Mr. Secretary MacDonald to
acknowledge the receipt of your letter No. 984/42/10
of the 14th of February and to request you to inform
Viscount Halifax that he concurs in the terms of the
telegram which it is proposed to send to His Majesty's
Ambassador at Shanghai on the subject of the possible
re opening of the Canton-Kowloon Railway. I am to
request that any instructions that may be issued to
His Majesty's Consul-General Canton may be repeated to
the Governor of Hong Kong.
